Overview

This book contains a collection of scenes which offer drama teachers and young actors a wide range of themes to explore. 

Their topics vary and suggest many different settings, some offering historical situations which could be linked to cross-curricular activities. Those set during the present seek to draw young actors into a setting with which they can identify with and emotionally explore in an authentic manner.  
Knowing young actors often wish to try comedy, many of the scenes have elements of comedic value for them to explore, with room to experiment with their own approach. Many of these lighter hearted scenes still hold deeper resonance, opening room for discussion between teachers and students.
